U of M Bell Museum Celebrates 140th Birthday | Public Spaces

The University of Minnesota’s Bell Museum of Natural History is celebrating a milestone this March.
Thursday, March 1, marks the 140th birthday of the museum, and community members are invited to a public celebration. Birthday cake will be served at 2 p.m. for the first 140 visitors and again at 5:30 p.m. There will also be presentations from museum leaders and a visit from Goldy Gopher.
The museum was created in 1872 by the Minnesota Legislature and exists to discover, document, and understand nature. It’s located at 10 Church St. S.E. in Minneapolis.
