U of M Lecture to Discuss Food Safety Modernization Act, Implications
An upcoming lecture at the University of Minnesota will talk about how the Food Safety Modernization Act will affect the food industry.
The act has been called the most comprehensive overhauling of U.S. food safety laws in more than 70 years.
Robert Brackett, vice president and director of the Institute for Food Safety and Health at the Illinois Institute of Technology, will talk about the act and how the FDA will manage its new demands.
The lecture takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, in Cowles Auditorium.
